Emily He is the Manager of the Renewables in Remote Communities program at the Pembina Institute. At Pembina, Emily’s work has focused on supporting Indigenous-led clean energy in remote communities through exploring the topics of energy policy, utility regulation in remote communities, United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP), diesel reliance, and microgrids. Emily’s background and ongoing projects have culminated in a detailed understanding of the intersectional social, policy, and technical nature of the clean energy transition in remote communities.
