The event takes place on Wednesday, November 25 & Thursday, November 26, in Toronto.

Due to venue capacity, attendance is limited. This year a new registration process has been implemented to ensure as many First Nation communities as possible can participate. Each First Nation community may register up to two representatives. Communities may choose the representatives best suited to participate.

All registrations are subject to review and if accepted, a confirmation email will be sent. If, however, your registration is not accepted you will also be notified.

No, there will not be a virtual broadcast or recording of the conference.

The Chelsea Hotel, Toronto, is about a 30-40 minute drive (30 km) from the airport. Please visit the Chelsea Hotel, Toronto website to get more information on directions to the hotel.

Airport limousine services and taxis are located on the ground level of Terminal 1 and the arrivals level at Terminal 3. Fares may differ, however, fares average approximately $50.

To reach the Chelsea Hotel, Toronto,  the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) offers 24-hour service from Pearson Airport. The most efficient route for arrivals between 5:00 a.m. and 2:00 a.m. is the 192 Airport Rocket, which connects at Kipling Station on the Bloor-Danforth subway line.

To reach the Chelsea Hotel, Toronto, board the Eastbound train to Yonge/Bloor station and transfer to the Southbound platform. Take the train to Dundas station and walk North on Yonge Street before turning left at Gerrard Street. An adult fare is approximately $3. GO Transit also offers airport express buses to York Mills and Yorkdale TTC stations from Terminal 1. Buses depart every 60 minutes and fares are approximately $5.

Underground parking is available for hotel guests at $43/night, $19/day until 6:00 p.m. and $3/hour. These rates are subject to 13% HST.

The underground parking entrance is located on the South side of Gerrard Street between Yonge Street and Bay Street.
PLEASE NOTE: The hotel underground parking garage has a maximum height restriction of 5 feet, 6 inches in certain areas and cannot accommodate oversized passenger vehicles. There is also an Impark parking lot behind the hotel located at 31 Elm Street.

Yes, there are hotel rooms available at the Chelsea Hotel, Toronto. Once your registration has been confirmed, please book your room on the Chelsea Hotel, Toronto reservation website by November 5 to secure the group rate.

Individuals may also call the hotel directly, toll-free at 1-800-CHELSEA (243-5732) or 416-595-1975. These individuals must identify themselves as part of First Nations Energy Symposium 2026. Please use the Group ID: IES112426 to take advantage of the discounted group rate. 

All reservations must be cancelled by 4:00 p.m. EST 48 hours (2 days) prior to arrival. Cancellations made within 48 hours of arrival will result in a charge of a 1-night stay plus taxes. A valid credit card is required at the time of booking. The Hotel reserves the right to cancel or modify a reservation should there be suspicious, fraudulent or inappropriate activity. 

Hotel check in time is 3:00 p.m. and check out time is 11:00 a.m.
